Studio Work
On Wednesday morning, I booked the photography studio to work on self portrait. I also managed to take some head-shots for another student. For some photos I decided it was best to use a single light source, as this would only illuminate one side of the subject’s face. This allowed me to create a darker mood to my images. However, I also decided to use two light sources, which created a much more balanced array of lighting onto the subject, reducing shadows.
Experimenting with Portraiture
Over the past couple of weeks, I have been experimenting with portraiture, both indoors and outdoors. The different lighting situations were difficult to work with, although after editing in Lightroom, my images do look a lot better.
Further Development in Lightroom and Camera Techniques
While exploring uphill Lincoln throughout the week, I was able to take some more photos experimenting with the white balance, ISO, shutter speed and aperture of my camera. This allowed for me to take some excellent photos, that when I edited in Lightroom, turned out very well.
